Short Getaway

Do you believe in God’s power that He can do everything that we couldn’t even imagine? Yes, I do. I know it sounds cliché, but you have to trust me that it happens to me, it real happens.
I posted that I was bored and need to meet new people on my Line account on May 31; I was really upset for being alone and had nothing to do at my boarding house. Then I think that God heard my wishes. There was my journey to Mount Bromo and Batu started. It wasn’t easy at first though, I had to choose between two options; My Papa let me to go to Bali, everything had been set, place to stay, place to go, except for the ticket. I didn’t know why I felt so lazy to book the ticket, so I postponed and keep postponed to buy the ticket until Mbak Dahlia texted me at Whatsapp, she asked me to go to her room and when I arrived at her room, he asked me to substitute her as the guide for the summer course and exchange students from Singapore, Thailand, and Malaysia to Bromo because she couldn’t go due to the appointment that she has made with her friends. I was in dilemma, so confused between two options. At the other side, I never been in Bromo, and I have been in Bali, but at the other side the journey to Bromo only last for two days, and the journey to Bali is for 4 days. The plus thing from the trip that Mbak Dahlia offered me was I go there with the foreign student, I love to make new friends, and also Mbak Dahlia told me I could bring my friend with me to the Bromo, so I said yes and asked Dinda to join us, she also said yes. There we go, and bye bye Bali :’) see you at another good times, though I know every time is always good in you.
The trip started on Friday, May 5 at 10.15pm o’clock. We gathered in front of my beloved faculty building, when I arrived there with Dinda, Gift and her 3 friends from Thailand; Pop, Pe, and Nong have already waited for us, then the Singaporean; Afiqah and Fa’izah came, also the Malaysian; Atiqah, Dayang, Tira, Yew, Faizal, and Azmeer (sorry if I write your name wrong guys :p). The van was leaving at 11.30pm, the driver told us that we will arrive there around 3.30pm, but at 2.30 we were already there. It was so cold and dark. None of us remember to bring flashlight, so we used our phone as the flashlight hahaha luckily I brought my powerbank to charge my phone. We walked for almost 2 hours before some local people approached us, told us that we took the wrong way if we want to go to Bromo, it turned out that we walked to Mount Penanjakan hahaha so we took the ride to Bromo, 15 thousands rupiah for each person. At first, Atiqah didn’t want to ride it, I didn’t even know why, she even cried because of it, but then Fa’izah told me that Atiqah was afraid of riding motorcycle, but at the end she tried it.
The fight didn’t stop there, we still had to hike the mountain, it was not that high but enough to take my breath away for some times, but beautiful thing is worth to fight for because it doesn’t come with only a small effort.
I finally reached the top of the mountain,
the view from the top of Mount Bromo
I could see the crater in the center of the mount, I heard the sound of boiled sulfur inside the crater, the smell was so strong, and at some time I even coughed because of it. Still it couldn’t beat its beauty, it was so beautiful up there, I could see almost everything below us, they looked so small hahaha then the sun rose, too bad I didn’t take any photo of it.
Then we walked down after taking lot of welfies :p right after we stepped on the last ladder, we saw some people were selling the immortal flower, Edelweis, it was so beautiful also, I couldn’t hold myself not to buy it, I bought a bouquet for 20 thousands rupiah. But after that I felt so sorry for buying it, I felt like they belonged to the nature, people shouldn’t pick them out for the economic benefits. But I am not lying they’re so beautiful, even Dayang said that it looked like a broccoli hahaha looked yum eh?
I initiated to go back to the bus walking because I didn’t want Atiqah cries again, besides we had already know n the path, I was optimist that we wouldn’t get lost for the second time, but then some motorcyclists approached us and offered their services, I ignored them, but some of us asked me if we would go by motorcycle or not, I told them if they want to take the motorcycle it’s going to be okay, and I will accompany Atiqah walk, but surprisingly Atiqah told me that she was tired and wanted to take the motorcycle, so we took the ride! When we arrived at the bus park, Atiqah approached me then she said sorry because she cried at first, she told me that she is afraid riding motorcycle, the last time she rode it was a few years ago and she was like screaming all the time hahaha but the last thing she said was surprised me “But today, it was the best ride”.  Yay! A moment which worth to try, eh Atiqah? Hihihi
We were done with Bromo, bye bye Bromo. I’ll see you again at some other time!
We continued the trip to Batu, Malang. There Ms. Viqi, Mr. Hari, Mr. Gesang and his fiancé waited us, they’ve prepared for the villa, and everything. The villa was so nice and comfy, it has front and backyard full of green grass. I slept in one room with Dinda, Afiqah, and Faizah. We were so lucky; we got a room with a bathroom inside hihihi
After taking some rests and cleaning ourselves we went to Coban Rondo waterfall; Coban means waterfall, and Rondo means widow in Java. People said there’s a sad story behind it, but I don’t know what it is hahaha -hey yo careless person!- after that we went to Alun-alun Kota Batu, it is the central of Batu city, a lot of people going to Alun-alun looking for entertainment and foods. Dinda and I tried Ceker Setan and Sayap Kere, we thought it would be so spicy, but it turned out it wasn’t so spicy as what we thought. Actually Mr. Hari would take us to Mount Banyakan, but it was too late because the sun started to set itself, so we went to the Alun-alun instead.
After finishing our meals at Alun-alun we went back to the villa, we chatted a lot of things at the villa, Ms Viqi and Mr. Hari prepared our snacks as the companion for chit chatting hahaha then I went to bed with Dinda because we felt so sleepy.
The next day, we went to Batu Secret Zoo, it wasn’t even a secret anymore for me though because it has been so many times I visit it. We walked in hurry because we didn’t have much time since we had to catch the train, but MS. Viqi, Dinda, Afiqah, Faizah, and I did try two rides, Shark Coaster and Tsunami; the Tsunami was the best! We got bonuses, it was usually only took us for two rounds, but when we tried it yesterday, it took us for hmm I couldn’t even count it, even the keeper teased us by unlocking the safety belt and turned the machine on again for two rounds, hhh I couldn’t feel my knee, I screamed so loud hahaha it was the best!
At 12pm we gathered in front of the building to get back to the villa and picked our belongings and went to the train station, it was raining when we arrived at the station, so we had to run to the gate to avoid getting wet. It took 2 hours until we arrived at Surabaya.
A bunch of thanks for Ms. Viqi, Mr. Hari, Mr. Gesang and fiancé, Dinda, and my new friends Afiqah, Fai’izah, Gift, Nong, Pe, Pop, Yew, Atiqah, Dayang, Tira, Faizal, Azmeer! And for Mr. Hari thanks for the foods, the villa, also the rides! We really enjoyed it. The noodle tastes so good! Thanks thanks thanks!
My wishes really came true, I got bored, I got holiday to Bromo and Batu. I wished for meeting some new people, I meet many new lovely people. God’s plans are always the best. Alhamdulillah.

I'm A Kiddo, but I Will Be No More

Life lessons. First, you can't expect people to do what you do, to love you as much as you love them. Don't expect too much. Second, be grateful for what you've already had. Don't be greedy. That comfort zone will follows as a bonus for your sincerity. Third, you can't rely on anybody. Stand on your own feet even if you have to crawl, use your own hands to help you to walk, don't rely on anybody! Forth, only family who will accept you for whatever your condition is. Fifth, you'll never know what your fault is if you never ask anybody who isn't close to you, who has different point of view of life from you. Last but not least, trust nobody but yourself.

"If you expect nothing from anybody, you're never disappointed." - Sylvia Plath

Not Bloody (yet) Betrayal

I felt like i've been betrayed. But actually who am I, right? I have no right to keep them to be always with me. Friends do not always stay together, do they? Cheer up, Pitee!

Mr. Jesse!

Lol i had been in some important moments in my life this year but i haven't post anything about them here, but right now i will post something that is because Mr. Jesse. So today i went to a public speaking workshop that was held by EDSA and BSO LDS at room Parlinah Moedjono in our university library. I don't want to talk about the workshop, but yeah probably a little bit about it, i want to talk about Mr. Jesse, omg i'm so so happy that i could have a chance to talk to him like personally, he's so kind, and handsome hahaha i even told my friend that i am willing to marry him though he is old /i'm sorry to say/ but really he's so handsome! i know you may think that  i am disgusting by liking him, but for them who know me so well, i know they know what the reason behind it. Oh ya, for you who don't know who Mr. Jesse is, he is a supervisor of Ms. Christy Lewis, he is from the US Embassy, and Ms. Christy is a teacher exchange around the world, so there are a lot of people like Ms. Christy all over the world, she has been in Universitas Airlangga for about 6-7 months if i'm not mistaken, and she is the speaker of today workshop.
Back to Mr. Jesse, we were talking about Banjarmasin, he told me that he went to Banjarmasin a few times ago, he even showed me some pictures that he took there. omg this is the first time i feel proud that i came from Banjarmasin. it's like oh my god it was so fortunate that i mentioned about Banjarmasin in my speech practice together along with him and the other 3 of the participants. It is too bad i didn't take any picture with him cuz i feel like ugh no i couldn't be look this horrible to have picture with him. He is in Jakarta now, before he left i said to him "thank you for coming Mr. Jesse, it was very good to see you, i hope we can meet again, in Banjarmasin probably." and he replied me while chuckling "hahaha nah it is a pleasure to meet you, i hope to meet you again too, more likely in Surabaya i guess." oh yes pleaseeeeeee come to Surabaya again and bring the ring! hahahaah

Tiring but Lovely Week

A super duper lovely week! Guess why! ‘Cause the 2 weeks long final exam of 3rd semester has officially done! And for this week, there were only 3 subjects for the exam, they were drama performance for Intro to Literature subject, and the hardest two were Intro to General Linguistics and Science Philosophy. They were really are the hardest for this semester, I don’t even know why but I just don’t like them really much or even I can’t even enjoy them. But I can understand Intro to General Linguistics a little bit more than I understand Science Philosophy, I also don’t know why.
The thing that make the week so lovely is I could answer almost all of the questions that given on the test of Intro to General Linguistics, for a scale that I was only studying for 45 minutes in the morning right before the exam time. I was studying on 6am until 6.45am and then the exam started at 9am. Even after 6.45am I still had a chance to continue my sleep hahaha what a bear! But unlike what has expected before, like I’ve already said I could answer all of the questions! Intro to General Linguistics man! I was never like this subject and I was never paid attention for it but I could answer all of the questions! Wow! I was like, whoa thanks Allah for the golden brain that you gave to me. But omg does it mean that I am now not safe from the zombieeeees? Yep, I do believe that mermaids and zombies are real hahaha
The second thing is, the drama performance for Intro to English Literature subject. I was playing a role as Beneatha Younger, a 20 years old colored (they said) girl who lives at the era after the World War II in the middle of white people, which is in that era black people in US were still fighting for their rights. The drama was titled A Raisin In The Sun by Lorraine Hansberry that was debuted on Broadway on 1959. The title was actually taken from a poem Harlem written by Langston Hughes. I love these literature things! They make me looks like a smart girl just by mentioning their name hahahaha Back to the drama, I was actually initiated to memorize the script when I had silent week before the exam, but as usual and always I couldn’t fight myself not to procrastinate it, pssst the devil inside myself is so huge hufft.. So I just started to memorize the script 2 days before the drama performance day. I realize that my power is on memorizing. So I was only need about 2 hours to memorize them all. And the performance day has arrived! Drrrrmmmm drrrmmmm bum bum. My team performed on the second order, can you imagine my heart was beating so fast! But luckily I could perform it well without any mistakes! Once again I thank Allah for the ability that He gave me. I was so happy, I could finish it the way as I targeted. Thanks Beneatha Younger :3
The third thing is, the Science Philosophy exam was a take home exam, so it was a paper contained 10 questions that I had to do orderly, in hand written. I initiated to do it the night before the sheet is collected, but as before I couldn’t fight not to procrastinate it (again), I was sleeping all night long! And did it in the morning also at 6am. It took me 3 hours to do it -_- I couldn’t imagine if I do the paper seat-in the class without permitted to open the internet or books…..
I probably will fail the course right after I walk out from the exam room. Luckily, Pak Moses was kindly hearted made it to a take home exam hehe oh ya the paper was collected at 1pm so I was safe hehe
The forth thing is I was interviewed for the second time. But this time was not as the youngest junior but as a second youngest junior hahaha Yes as I said I am a senior now :3
The fifth thing is right after the Science Philosophy paper exam collected; Dinda and I went to Suroboyo Carnival Night Market. It is a new amusement park in Surabaya, we haven’t been there yet, since the itinerary to go to Jogja and Malang with Sillyngitis is failed and no one wanted to come with us, so Dinda and I went to the SCNM only with the two of us. Though only with the two of us, it didn’t decrease the fun that we had. We tried almost all of the rides there, and the thing that made us happy was there were quiet visitors, so we didn’t have to wait too long for each rides. It took us about 4.5 hours in there. First, we went to Surabaya Galery, it was so hmmm quiet, there’s only some things that we agree aren’t really important actually. Boring. Second, we went to Art and Wax House, I like this place! The room is full of 3D art that we can take pictures with them, also a wax statue of famous people around the world such as Albert Einstein, Mr. Bean, Charlie Chaplin, Brad and Jolie Pitt, also the legend sexiest woman in her era, Marilyn Monroe, there are also some wax statue of Indonesian people. Though not as much as in Madame Tussaud, but it’s quiete acceptable :p Of course we took a lot of pictures there. Third, we tried carrousel, so happy! I was singing all the time when the horse that I rode was circling, I think that was my first time riding carrousel. Forth, we rode Ferris Wheel, my legs were shaking when the cage that we rode was in the highest point, but I really love it, it was like I could see all of the city of Surabaya above there, and also it was so romantic, I will beg my future boyfriend to take me there :p Fifth, we try a rides which took us circling the rides in prone position, trust me I don’t really like that rides, my head was like spinning just because of it grrr I wouldn’t ever ride that rides anymore! Sixth, we tried Bledek Coaster, it is a mini roller coaster but enough to make us screaming loud. This rides is my favorite! Seventh, we tried Orbiter, ughhhh I don’t like this rides too, it also made me spinning ugh I even still feel the feel after I rode it. And then we took a rest at a little beverages shop, we ordered two vanilla ice cream cones and 1 hamburger for me, oops it was actually not really two but four vanilla ice cream cones, two for each of us hahaha No wonder why we have sexy bodies ;p Then after enjoying the meals, we tried the next rides, SC4D, it is a 4D theatre that shows scary 4D animations. That night the show was Dracula. And then we tried Laser War, I only shot about 20 times to the enemies, and Dinda beat me with 50 scores -_- but, my self defense is better than hers :p I only got shot once, while she was 3 times hahaha Next, we tried Mining something I can’t remember what’s the name is, it is a look alike rides with Bledek Coaster it just doesn’t have 360 degrees round track. Then we tried a rides which the track is above us, it was like cycling while singing above the sky, the song that we sang was My Heart Will Go On by Celine Dion hahaha The last rides we tried was Mirror House, we skipped the ghost house because we are two scared-chickens, but inside the mirror house is scary enough at some part, there are no lights, only glowing things, even my shoelaces were glowing there, we were so terrified! But not all of the part is scary, there is also a room with full of mirrors and big balls whoa I was really deep into my enjoyment with the big balls when Dinda told me she saw a couple that were in the same room with us were kissing -_- ewww! That gross! Dude, I know it is your right to kiss your spouse, but it’s not a common thing to do it in public places, at least in our culture. We decided to not think that thing we just laughed at them hahaha but actually I wasn’t see them. The time was almost 11pm and we have tried all of the rides except the under constructions rides so we decided to go home. We really enjoyed the time that we spent there and forget all of the disappointment because of failed to go to Jogja with Sillyngitis.
The fifth thing is, the morning right after the night I went to SCNM, I went to Malang with the member of last year’s Kaderisasi of EDSA. I went there with Mas Fikri, our head of division, Mas Dwiky, Mbak Ajeng, Meme, and Anisa, Firna and Agit couldn’t join us for some reason. We went to Jatim Park 1, we bought tickets in order to get in to the Bagong Body House. First we went to Bagong Body House, it was a six-floor building which there is different types of body part in each level. The first floor is a lobby where a brain look alike hang above us, then Mouth session, I remember how ridiculous we were watching into the screen while standing over tongue look alike, it was a fluffy semi hard texture tongue, eeewwwww. Next is Ear session, I was disappointed with this session -_- it said that my ears age are above 40 and under 50 years old -_- that was a lie! Of course I have two healthy ears that can work well as its function though I always listening to iPod loudly with the two of earphones plugged in, just like right now when I’m typing this story :p the next sessions are eye, brain, blood, joints bone, I forgot what else, but at the highest level, we could have health test for free, I tested my eyes, it turns out that I have 0,25 minus on my left eyes ;( but the doctor said it can be healed if I diligently consume carrot and tomato. Yeay! I will be a good bunny, doc! Then the last session is 3D theatre about how sperms reach ovum. Okay…..
Then we went to our main destination, riding rides in Jatim Park!  So happyyyyyyyyyy! It was a big mistake that Mas Fikri and I did, we tried 360 degrees Pendulum firstly above other rides -_- ughhhh I hate that rideeeeeees! It made me wanted to vomit, even Mas Fikri got his face pale as white as whiteboard hahaha Second, Mas Fikri, Anisa, Meme and I went to Ghost House that I avoid! Ugh, I closed my eyes and held Anisa’s bodies all the time inside there. Errr once again, a scared-big-chicken. Next, Meme, Anisa and I tried Columbus, it is a quiet big but not so big ship that swing forward and back. I love this ride too! Next, for the first time all of us rode the same rides together, Galaxy Bumper Car hihihi we bumped into each other’s and screaming out of joyment together sharing the time that we spent together, I love them. Then, Anisa and I tried Spinning Coaster, a so-so rides. Then we all walked to Volcanoes Coaster but it turned out that the Volcanoes Coaster is under construction -_- We just rode Dragon Coaster, it was so tiny for roller coaster hahaha but enough to made mas Dwiky terrified just by watching us riding the rides :p Mas Dwiky has a big body and scary face but it turns out that he has a hello kitty’s heart :p Awww. Then we walked into the exit door because we thought that we’ve rode all of the rides, but it turned out that we haven’t rode a ride which like a rides at SCNM that Dinda and I rode, cycling over the sky, since we went there with six people of us, we rode that two persons each cycle, Mas Fikri and Mas Dwiky, Mbak Ajeng and I, Meme and Anisa. I enjoyed the short trip above, Mbak Ajeng and I sang Just Give Me A Reason song by Pink if I’m not mistaken, yeah my music knowledge is so bad. Then we arrived at the stop pit, we waited for Meme and Anisa, hahaha Meme’s face was so horrible! She was frightened. We continue the tour into Pipes House, the third rides that we went into together. We got a little bit wet because of the water sprinkles. Oh, before we went to the Pipes House, we met a crocodile cage contains around 5-7 big crocodiles, they were scary but it’s not a good behavior to captive wild animal in a small cage, they belong to nature, nature is their place. The last before we went out of the park is Aquarium there was baby sharks! Also, I found out for the first time told by Mas Fikri that Jellyfishes are immortal! Though they lost their head, still they alive, what a gift! The last road is Market; they sell souvenirs, meals, fruits, plants such as cactus, and also some cute pet such as rabbit, hamster, guinea pig, and cat.
We finished with the park, tired of walking and screaming; we felt hungry of course heheh Meme brought lunch meals for all of us, she said her grandma cooked it for us. Thank you Utiiiii, thank you Meme :* we didn’t have to pay more money to buy meals hehehfinished with the lunch, we continued the trip to Alun-Alun Batu, at first we wanted to ride Ferris Wheel and buy the famous Ketan there but it turned out that the ferris wheel ws closed -_- so we only buy Ketan, it is a Javanesse traditional food sticky rice, but what makes it different with the other Ketan in Java is it has variant topping such as chocolate, cheese, also duren. I also bought two yoghurts that Anisa said is delicious. Right when the Azan Maghrib was reverberating, we went back to Surabaya. I had no idea why I still had much energy than the others, I rode the rides the most among the others, I drove to Malang, then I still had to drive again to Surabaya, but I didn’t feel tired even a little bit, while I was driving mbak Ajeng together with Mas Dwiky conversed with me, they were afraid if I feel sleepy hahah I’m a strong girl though :p and the others were sleeping and sometimes waken up by our laughs. It was heavy rain when we touched half of the way, I couldn’t see the road clearly, so we had to drive slowly. Really, it was a really heavy rain with trucks and buses in front of, behind, and close to our car. But it didn’t last long, it has gone before we touched Gempol. Closer to Surabaya, yeay! We dropped off Anisa first in front of Waru Train Station, then dropped mas Dwiky in front of his house, poor mas Dwiky, he said he almost canceled to join the trip because he got stomachache, but he appreciated Meme who made the event so he still joined us with his stomachache. After dropping off mas Dwiky, we continued the car to the first place we met in the morning, in front of our campus. We split up there, mbak Ajeng went back to her boarding house with her boyfriend, mas Fikri walked on foot to his boarding house, since it is close to campus. Meme put me off to my boarding house. Yep so the trip was over that night. A full day trip with Kaderisasi. A tiring but worth to spent time.
The next morning, I had to wake up early cause I had a morning flight to homeland, Banjarmasin. I woke around 4.25am, took a bath, 4.42am I called the taxi. It was unlike usual, the taxi didn’t come for so long time, I called the operator about three times, the second and third time the operator said that the taxi is already inside the alley, but it didn’t show off until 5.10am, to be honest I was so panic! The flight was at 6.10am, and it takes about 45 minutes to go to the airport from my boarding house, it was already 5.10, I called Papa with half crying, I told him that the taxi hasn’t come, I thought I would missed the flight. Between the conversations that I did with Papa, an unnoted number was calling, I answered it turned out that it was the driver phone, he said that he was already in front of the alley and it was portal-ed, so I told him I was going to walk over there. It was so shocking after I reached in front of the alley, it wasn’t portal-ed, and the taxi wasn’t there! Can you believe me, my heart was about to burst that time! I was like wanted to scream out my anger but there’s no one I could tutored! So I called a taxi that was passing by in front of me. I went to the airport with different taxi with that I had reserved, I called the operator on my way that I canceled the reservation because I was in hurry and the taxi didn’t come. I thought that the driver is new, because I know that taxi company, it was never disappoint me before. So I arrived at the airport, but it was too late. The check-in stall has already closed. Okay bye bye ticket. I called Papa again, I told him that I have arrived at the airport but I missed the flight. He suggested me to buy ticket for the next flight, and I did it. Do you know, the next flight to Banjarmasin that still available was at 11.35am, ughhhhh so I had to wait for 5.5 hours until the next flight. I waited at Dunkin Donut while enjoying a cup of hot chocolate and croissant sandwich for my breakfast; luckily it was Spongebob Squarepants cartoon on Tv that time. I forgot about my loneliness waiting alone by myself there by watching Spongebob Squarepants cartoon, my lifetime favorite cartoon. The cartoon has ended, I decided to put my iPod on, and open my laptop, I wrote half of this story while sitting there waiting for my flight time. Didn’t want to missed the flight again, I went to the check in room earlier at 10am, it was still 1.5 hours till the flight time. I sat inside the waiting room until the boarding time came. I flew to Banjarmasin. Swoosh! I didn’t know why, it was like my first time being scared traveling by plane; it felt like the turbulence when take-off time was so big. It hit hard the clouds; I was praying all the time. I was so thankful when the plane has already landed. Mba Luh, Mas, Noe, and Kian picked me up at the airport. It was sad that Kian didn’t recognize me, he was crying when I reached him -_- oh baby this is auntie.

The next day, which is yesterday I got a news that my junior high school friend was missing at a beach in Jogja and still in searching. It was because the waves were high. I was feel so sorry for him and his family, but at the other side I felt thankful that my friends and I are not going to Jogja as we’ve planned, it was right that Papa said, there will always be a good things over bad incidents. Once again, Allah saves my life. Alhamdulillah.
