South Kalimantan Heritage

Related to Eid Mubarrok tomorrow, my family and I went to visiting my grandpa's grave, in our way to the grave we always passing two big ancient building of South Kalimantan. The first big one is Rumah Adat Banjar Bumbungan Tinggi and the second one that is smaller than the first one is Rumah Adat Banjar Gajah Baliku. Actually South Kalimantan had twelve different kinda of housing in that time, as the time goes by those houses were going to extinction, only some left, i visited two of them today after visiting my gramdpa's grave.
Believe it or not, Rumah Adat Banjar Bumbungan Tinggi that i visited is more than 200 years old, and Rumah Adat Banjar Gajah Baliku that i visited is younger, it's about 150 years old, but the most incredible fact is some of woods that supporting those house is aged more than 1000 years old. Such a very ancient age, right. I know it because the keeper told me heheh.
Me and my dad just kept wondering how did the people in that limited era could built such a building. Daebak!
Sometimes, we do should know about our own culture. We do should be proud of it.
